5th grade students learned about wax resist art. They created a drawing of an animal of their choice, then colored some details with oil pastels. Finally, they painted the rest of their fabulous pictures with watercolor.
Objectives:
- Identify animals in works of art
- Understand how to create a wax resist
- Create an animal in it's habitat using oil pastels and watercolor

Lesson:
